What is Branch Out Mentoring?
Branch Out Mentoring is a peer-to-peer transition program designed for Year 12 students. It aims to support you on your journey from high school to further education, vocational training, or the workforce.
In this program, you’ll be placed in small groups and paired with recent rural high school graduates who will be your mentors. The program runs from terms 1-3, offering flexible delivery options and tailored sessions to fit your needs and interests.
Consisting of eight sessions spread across the year, the content is customized based on your preferences and the challenges you face. Topics covered include:
- Organisational skills
- Managing stress
- Exam preparation
- Writing skills for scholarships
- Alternative pathways
- Resilience
- Transitioning into post-high school life
