Scholarships – supporting rural learners

Youthrive Victoria provides a range of scholarships to support the education of young people from rural Victoria. Scholarships available include three years support through a University Scholarship for students undertaking a Bachelors Degree and one year Rural Chances Scholarships for those pursuing vocational learning. 

Youthrive Victoria’s scholarship programs are designed to:

• Improve equity of access to post-school education for young rural people, 
• Provide financial and social support to rural students and
• Ensure the availability of qualified young people to deliver services, drive economic growth and lead their rural communities.

Youthrive works in partnership with donors and other organisations to establish and administer high-impact rural scholarship programs. Since 2011, over $2.75 million in scholarships has been awarded to rural school leavers.

We provide wrap-around support to scholarship recipients, including transition and career mentoring, leadership development programs and access to an alumni network, that are all designed to meet the specific needs of rural young people.
