Youthrive Victoria is committed to building leadership capacity in young rural Victorians. We have a broad view of leadership and it includes building skills to help you lead your own life and lead others well. We are keen for you to contribute to your rural community. The Young Rural Leaders residential program, other workshops and alumni activities all provide opportunities for building skills.

About the Young Rural Leaders Program

The Young Rural Leaders Program is a unique six-day residential program designed for and by young rural Victorians. It aims to build on existing leadership skills, and build a network of young leaders in rural and regional Victoria.

If you would like to attend please send an email to info@youthrivevic.org.au. All scholarships holders participate in the program and additional participants are selected on merit, based on scholarship applications and referral.

Program Aims

  • Grow existing leadership skills in young rural Victorians
  • Foster new leadership skills and capacities in young rural Victorians
  • Build a network of great young rural leaders in Victoria

Program Overview

  • Six day residential program conducted in rural Victoria twice each year
  • Designed and conducted by young rural Victorians
  • Open to interested young people from rural and regional Victoria

  • Program content is based on three pillars: sustainable me; sustainable community and sustainable environment.

  • Focused on ‘transformational leadership’- the ability to drive positive change in a community
  • All participants become part of the Youthrive Victoria Alumni network
  • All participants are provided with meals, accommodation and access to all parts of the program
