The importance of mentoring

You are here:

The importance of mentoring cannot be underestimated. It is often difficult to quantify the impact of mentoring but anyone who has ever had a mentor will know the value of a good mentoring relationship.

We are keen to lead innovative ways to link rural young people with mentors and we welcome support and ideas from you. We know mentoring young people needs to be carefully designed but also flexible enough to fit busy 21st century lives. Our model draws on the lived experience of former mentees and mentors. More information about the mentoring program can be found here.

We are building the capacity of our mentoring program this year so that we can help more rural people settle into post-schools study and work. If you know anyone who has finished school and would like a mentor please encourage them to register here: Request a Mentor

If you are interested in being a transition, career, vocational or community mentor please register here: Become a Mentor. We are very keen to have a wide range of rural people, or people with some rural connection, to act as mentors in this expanding program.

We look forward to sharing some exciting new developments in mentoring later this year.
