Youth Mental Health First Aid training

In June we held a Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training session at Youthrive Victoria in Creswick – the first such program to be funded by a generous grant from the RE Ross Trust.

Attended by 15 Youthrive Victoria alumni, our young leaders found the learning experience to be invaluable. Several participants went on to be coaches at the Young Rural Leaders Program at Narmbool in July, and were very pleased to have this extra level of training at their disposal. Our aim is to have 30 alumni train in YMHFA each year for three years.
